PAIRING
It is your task to connect (pair) left column items with items of the right column having one item take part in just one pair. Proceed as follows:
- Click on the left column item to highlight it.
- Place the mouse pointer over the icon next to the right column item you wish to pair with the left hand column item and click it.
- The items will be connected.
You may also start with a right-hand column item and pair it with a left hand column item.
If you wish to alter your pairing, do the following:
- Click on the pairing item to highlight it.
- Click the icon next to a new pairing item in the other column you wish to connect it to.
- The item will be connected to the new item and the existing connection will be removed.

The exercise may be commanded by the voice as well. Say an item from one column into the microphone and wait till it is highlighted. Then say the item from the other column you wish to connect it to.

SYLLABLE (WORD) SELECTION (ONE CORRECT OUT OF SEVERAL)
It is your task to mark syllables, word parts or whole words while you always choose from several syllables (word parts, words) and only one choice is correct. Proceed as follows:
- Place the mouse pointer over the item (syllable, word part or a word) you wish to select.
- The item will be highlighted together with all choices you may select from (only one of them is correct).
- Left click the item - the item is now selected.
If you wish to alter your selection, either click another item or click the selected item again.

- Use a left mouse click - the status of the icon will be set as "checked", the item will be marked.
- A consecutive click will reset the item.

- Use a left mouse click - the icon will become checked.
- Use a left mouse click to uncheck the selected item.

Proceed as follows:
- Click an unmarked item in the list. Keep the left mouse button pressed and drag the pointer over the field to highlight it.
- Release the left mouse button - the item from the list will move from the list to the empty space.
To undo the previous action, simply drag and drop another item from the list over that field.
Direct keyboard input of the answers is enabled.

Say a word (phrase) from the list into the microphone. It is filled in the first highlighted field in the text and another field is highlighted. If you want to correct any filled-in field, click on it and say another word from the list into the microphone.
SOUND PLAYBACK
Exercises with a sound-track can be recognized by their “sound mark”. There are two icons:
- the "large" sound mark
- the "small" sound mark
The "large" sound mark represents a playback of long recordings (complete exercises, conversations and so on), the "small" sound mark play-backs words, sentences or their parts located apart. The text can be hidden or not while played back.
If you want to play a sound track related with a sound mark, click on the mark. The mark is active while the sound track is played. A consequent click on the sound mark will cease the playback.
YES/NO QUESTIONS
Your task is to decide, whether the definitions (questions) are true or false. Every definition (question) is marked with an icon. If the definition is false, skip it. If the definition is true, proceed as follows:
- Use your mouse to move over the item or over the icon next to it. It gets highlighted.
- Use a left mouse click - the status of the icon will be set as "checked", the item will be marked.
- A consecutive click will reset the item.
DICTATION
Your task is to fill in empty fields with words or sentences you hear. Proceed as follows:
- Listen to the word or sentence.
- Click on the empty space - it will be highlighted and blinking cursor will appear.
- Type in what you can hear.
Should you need to edit the text in the field, click on the field and edit it as required.
CORRECTION
Your task is to correct the highlighted words in the text. Proceed as follows:
- Click on the word you wish to change - it will get highlighted with a cursor inside.
- Type in the new word.

Your task is to play the role of one of the actors. Proceed as follows:
- Listen to the entire conversation.
- Click the actor you wish to represent. Recording and playback buttons will appear.
- Start the recording.
- Read the highlighted sentence of the chosen actor into the microphone.
- Other actors will be play-backed only.
- Finally play the entire conversation including your part. Compare with the original.
