Saving & Printing Your Outlines
Saving Your Outlines - To save your work for later use, choose Save (⌘S) or Save As... (⇧⌘S) from the File menu, and choose a location to save the document.

The document that's created will have an .ooutline file extension. You also have the option of saving your outline to a variety of other file formats, but that's covered in the Exporting From OmniOutliner section.

OmniOutliner documents can be printed and previewed using the standard Mac OS X printing system. For general information about printing on Mac OS X, see Mac Help.

Printing Your Outlines - To print the current document, choose Print... (⌘P) from the File menu. The standard print panel will appear, allowing you to choose a printer and options for the print job. When ready, press the Print button (or the Preview button to see an accurate preview of the output that will be printed).

To set up general printing options, choose Page Setup... (⇧⌘P) from the File menu.

A Note Regarding Printing - At this point in OmniOutliner's development, the outline creation and editing features are more mature than the ones related to printed output. We plan to fix this in a future version of the application, but for the moment, printing is not WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get); you may need to tweak your document on screen a bit, or export your document to RTF or PDF and print that, if you need tight control over printed appearance.
