Memorizing Categories |
If you import a large QIF or QFX file and you may want iBank to quickly learn all of the categories associated with the new transactions. To do this, select the transactions for which you want iBank to learn the categories of and go to Transactions>Memorize>Selected Categories. You don't actually need to select the row that displays the category, just select any part of the transaction. |
Memorizing Transactions |
iBank will automatically memorize the transaction any time you edit a transaction. However, if you import a large number of transactions you may want iBank to quickly memorize them all. To do this, select the transactions for which you want iBank to learn and go to Transactions >Memorize>Selected Transactions.

Downloading Transactions |
iBank will only import transactions if the file containing the transaction data has an extension of qif or qfx. When you download transactions from some banks for Quicken, the downloaded file may have an extension such as "dload". If this is the case change it to "qfx". If you download transactions from your bank for QuickBooks, make sure the file extension is "qif".

Drag 'n' Drop From iWork |
If you don't want to use the sync button, or you need to get iWork projects into iBank some other way, just drag and drop projects from the Project Manager (in iWork) to iBank.
