Overview
Transcend the Time and Date menu bar clock. iClock is an evolving application that replaces the menu clock with one that is much more powerful and customizable. iClock is a centrally located time hub from which many time related functions can be controlled.
It's the year 2005 and we find ourselves in constantly increasing communication with relatives, friends, and business partners located all over the globe. This means we all have to interact with people in different time zones and we need some way of knowing the time in many places easily and all at once. iClock is the solution.
iClock is an essential time utility for pilots, business people, travelers, and anyone who communicates with people in other time zones. iClock also helps you track your Stock Portfolio online.
iClock does all this:
- Gives you a birds eye view of different time zones.
- Customize the Time and Date display in the menu bar in hundreds of ways.
- Change the colors separately of the Time and Date display in the menu bar.
- Choose the font to display the Time and Date in the menu bar.
- Gives you a time zone calculator that finds the best time to connect up with the people in as many time zones as you want.
- Gives an easily accessible, at a glance system menu view of times/dates in as many parts of the world as you want.
- Add the people/companies you work with directly from the address book.
- Gives the dial codes for countries around the world.
- Gives you the option to choose either 12 or 24 hour time.
- Custom alarms that are so easily accessible, you will use them.
- Use the calendar to show birthdays from Apple's Address Book and links to iCal Calendar.
- The calendar can float on top or below other windows and its transparency can be set.
- Run a Screen Saver on your desktop using iClock's Screen Effects. Try Cosmos.
- CopyPaste users can conveniently add the CopyPaste menus to iClock.
- Application menu that allows switching to any running program.
- iClock is evolving rapidly so this list does not contain all the latest features. More coming soon...
Notes:
In the iClock 2 preferences -> iClock Menu, if you use the option to Hide/Show iClock or the Application menu.
When you reenable them, will position them to the right side.
You can command drag the menu items to re-position the items to where you want them.
Trouble shooting after upgrading to v1.2:
If iClock preference window opens every time you login,
open System Preferences and select Login Items in Mac OS 10.2.x or Startup Items (in Mac OS 10.3.x) and
remove iClock for the list of items.
If iClock does not show up after installing and restarting, double click on the iClock application, and uncheck and re-check "Show iClock" in the preference window. There may be a slight delay before iClock will show up.
Thank you for trying out iClock. Please let us know what you would like to see in future versions.
