Finding Usenet access
In order to use Unison, you'll need access to a Usenet server. You may already have access to a Usenet server without realizing it. Many Internet Service Providers (ISPs) provide a Usenet service to their customers as part of their monthly subscription fee. Call your ISP to find out if they offer Usenet service, and if so, ask for the following information you'll need to set up Unison: the address of the Usenet server, its port number, and a username and password (if required).
If your ISP does not offer a Usenet server, you can purchase Usenet server access from another provider. Panic provides an extensive Usenet Access service for a low monthly fee. Best of all, Unison Usenet Access is integrated with Unison, so when you sign up, you can have Unison automatically set up with your account information.
