After adding a document, like described above, Invoice2 will display the editview. Here you can add/remove and reposition lines.
You can also open the editview by double-clicking a document item from the document list.
With the plus- and minusbutton at the bottom of the main window in the editview you can add/remove line to/from the document. The description column is a special column which has a different behavior when you press the enter key. By pressing the enter key Invoice2 puts the description column into an edit mode and you can write multiple lines. Leave the edit mode by clicking on another place then the active selected line.
Invoice2 counts the positions automaticly. If you want to put a line to another position just drag it with the mouse to the desired position.
One of the features of Invoice2 is the drag & drop function of articles into the document. You will see the article list on the right side in the editview. Just drag the desired articles from the list to the document. The tax value and unit will be assigned from the catalog. You just have to set the desired quantity.
The article list contains articles from one category at a time. You can select another category with the dropbox at the top of the articles list.
Invoice2 stores two important dates, creation date and due date. Due date for quotation should be used in another meaning then for invoices. For quotations due date is the last date on which the quotation is valid.
You can make use of this dates by creating some smart folders and in the layout designer. There are two autofield (create date and due date) in the layout designer which you can drag into your layout.
An invoice or quotation without a customer is not valuable. You can click the "..." button on the upper right corner under the document number to assign a customer. You can use 3 different ways to select a customer.
Import a customer from the Address Book
Select an existing customer (the Application tab in the select customer dialog)
Add a new customer by entering new customer data
