Keyboard Commands

 

 

 

Many of FretPet's functions can be accessed through keyboard shortcuts. Some of these shortcuts will only be available when the appropriate palette is open. Use the Help >> FretPet Shortcuts menu item for online reference.

 

Toolbar

esc Stop Play
A Add Chord
E Toggle the Eye Button
F Toggle Free Editing
L Toggle Looping
P Start or stop Playing the Bank
T Toggle the Transpose Button

 

Chords / Chord Bank

up, down, pageup, pagedown, home, end Move around in the Chord Bank to select the Current Chord.
delete, del Delete the Current Chord
shift-delete Clear the Current Chord's sequence
A Copy the Current Chord into the next Bank position
D Duplicate the Current Chord to the end of the Bank
G Previous Harmony
H Next Harmony

 

Scale Palette

control-arrows Move the Scale and Key Cursors
1 - 7 Move the Scale Cursor to column 1 through 7
tab Move the Scale Cursor up a 3rd
option-tab Add the Current Tone to the Current Chord and move the Scale Cursor up a 3rd
return, enter Toggle the tone at the Scale Cursor
-  + Change the names of Enharmonic Keys

 

Guitar Palette

option-arrows, home, end Move the Fret Cursor
spacebar Toggle the tone at the Fret Cursor
[  ] Move the Fret Bracket
B Toggle the Fret Bracket

 

Circle Palette

<  > Move the Scale Cursor relative to the Circle
/ Toggle the tone at the Scale Cursor
