Price: 12.99 UK Pounds Developer/Publisher:Vulcan Software Requirements: Aga only, HD installable.

(Bograts)(Player)Bograts is a new puzzle/ platform game from Vulcan Software.

The game can be installed on your hard drive but it can also be played with floppy, there really isn't any difference as there are only two disks.

Bograts starts up with some mystical music to set the tone of the game. You have the option to either play Bograts straight away or watch the intro. The intro gives you the background to the game and contains some nice animation. The storyline goes like this; after telling your Bograts a story they decide to go on a adventure to the Mystical Castle of Bog. There, they hope to find the magical eggs that so many people have failed to find. As you are the parent of these Bograts it is your task to guide them safety through the castle collecting the magical eggs at the same time.

(Screen_shot)This is not a easy task as there are many traps and puzzles, any of which could kill your Bograts or end the game. You need to really think about how you are going to complete each level before you go ahead and jump into action.

(Map)The map is the best option to use at the start as it lets you see the entire area. From this you can plan your route to the exit which is symbolised as a little doorway. It becomes more fast moving after you have planned your route to safety and soon you can speed through the first levels easily.

Along the way you should collect the hearts as they will provide your Bograts with more lives and you'll need them for further levels. You also require 20 hearts to save during the game, this is important as some levels are very tricky and you do not want to end up at the very start of the game.

(Screen_shot)Collecting bombs will help to blow open doors and blocks in the way. If you run and drop a bomb it will slid towards the door and explode it open. These are very useful and should not be wasted.

It can be frustrating at times when you cannot find the route out or you are stuck. But you will find that after completing that level you will be gratified and you will be drawn to complete more.

The levels get bigger as you go along and get more detailed with more complex puzzles and harder traps. From this you will find some ingenious ways of getting rid of these puzzles and traps. For insistence to get rid of fire traps I pushed a block over them to put them out. This is only a basic example of all the amazing puzzles that have been included, but I won't spoil it as it is better to discover everything for yourself.

(Blue(RedThere are plenty of traps for your Bograts to get killed such as spike traps, fire hazards, slippery ice, disappearing platforms and plenty more to watch out for. But the Bograts aren't exactly helpless as blue Bograt can kill fungus creatures and the red Bograt can collect keys and use them on doors.

(Screen_shot)(Switch)There are useful objects that you can use like switches which help you to open doors and ladders, operate lifts and control conveyer belts. You can move blocks to your advantage and teleport to places that are inaccessible to you.

Although from the screenshots you may think this game looks a bit grey, it is in fact very detailed with amazing animations of flames and of players movements.

Bograts is definitely a very enjoyable game to play and can be very trickly but in the end it is rewarding. With 60 levels of puzzles and traps you'll be playing this game for quite a while.
