She is 57 year old Rose Heilbron, QC, one of three part-time Recorders appointed at the Old Bailey under the nation's new system of Crown Courts. Sworn And she will be addressed as "My Lord." Miss Heilbron, married with one daughter, had already achieved two "firsts" in court work. In 1956 she became the country's first woman Recorder, at Burnley, Lancs.
