The program greatly improves the process of importing text into Ventura 
Publisher.

and provides seamless conversion for word processing docu<%4>ments 
into the typographic<%0> format of Ventura Publisher. The program 
is accessed from the text load menu of Ventura.

<%6>Translation features.  ACT<%0> employs a simple mouse-driven menu

between the word processing and desktop publishing environments.

marks to the open and closed format; hyphens and dashes to em and 
en dashes; apostrophes and quotes to appropriate foot <%8>and inch

tabs; baseline fractions into piece fractions; typewritten <%8>register, 
copyright and<%0> trademarks into appropriate typographic symbols; 
extra spaces into em/en dashes or tabs. In addition, the user can 
instruct VProfessional to delete extra line returns and/or save headers, 
footers, footnotes, and index tags as hidden text.
