This  disk contains various example files to use with  dBase  III 
and Lotus 1-2-3.  To use the dBase files,  copy the  .DBF,  .LBL, 
.FRM, and .PRG files to the directory on your hard disk where you 
keep your dBase files. Then type:

  DO EXAMP1 to run example 1.
  DO EXAMP2 to run example 2.
  DO EXAMP3 to run example 3.
  DO EXAMP4 to run example 4.
  DO EXAMP5 to run example 5.

To examine the label programs, run dBase and then type:

  MODI LABEL EXAMP1
  MODI LABEL EXAMP2
  MODI LABEL EXAMP5

To examine the form program, run dBase and then type:

  MODI FORM EXAMP3

Use  the Multi-Chapter copy option in Ventura Publisher  to  copy 
the  CHP  and  associated  files from your  floppy  disk  to  the 
directory on your hard disk where you keep your dBase  files.  No 
width table is provided.  Therefore, during the copy process, you 
may  receive  an  alert stating that the width  table  cannot  be 
found.   SKIP   through  this  alert.   Ventura  Publisher   will 
automatically use the OUTPUT.WID file in your VENTURA directory.

Several  of  the  examples are provided  with  alternative  style 
sheets.  These  style  sheets  have  names  like  EXAMP1A.STY  or 
EXAMP5B.STY.  Copy these files from the distribution floppy  disk 
to  the  directory specified for the style sheets in  the  Multi-
Chapter copy operation.

EXAMP1A.STY	Same as before, but with space added between letters
EXAMP1B.STY	Same as EXAMP1, but with leader characters.

EXAMP1D.STY	Same as EXAMP1, but text on different lines.
EXAMP1E.STY	Same as EXAMP1, but each line numbered (press Ctrl B).

Lotus 1-2-3

To use the Lotus 1-2-3 program, copy the file 123TOVP.WK1 to your 
computer  hard  disk and then follow the directions given in  the 
application note and in the file itself.
