Wakefield 2005
The Wakefield show 2005 is going ahead, RISCWorld has the details The Wakefield RISCOS Computer Club have decided to go ahead with the Wakefield 2005 show. The show is scheduled for the weekend of the 21st and 22nd of May and just like last year will run over 2 days. This is the 10th year of the show and the ninth time the show has been held at Thornes Park Athletics Stadium in Wakefield. There will once again be a FREE mini-bus service operating between Wakefield Westgate station and the show mainly connecting with the London trains, and as necessary to connect with other services. The Mini-Bus service is sponsored by APDL and 3QD(Virtual Acorn). Other show sponsors currently are M W Software, Stuart Tyrrell Developments/Advantage Six and Spellings Computer Services. As usual there will be a show theatre, with a number of presentations on both Saturday and Sunday. Full details will be available when the program is confirmed. The WROCC will be running the usual Charity Stall, once again raising money for Wakefield Hospice (www.wakefieldhospice.org). The show has raised over £12,000 for the hospice over the past 9 years. More details on what will be available on the charity stall will be announced nearer the time as the club are still hoping to be able to have some second hand computers on the stand, and any not sold will go for recycling, but this will be confirmed closer to the event.
