End Sector - screenshot Here comes another bizarre game for the PlayStation. I'm sure many gamers out there have a hobby of collecting cards beside from gaming. I guess people in the US like to collect baseball cards, basketball cards, movie cards, etc. Asian boys like me enjoy collecting anime cards, idol cards, etc. Well, what do I know..... Anyway, my point is, this upcoming game from ASCII is targetted at people with a card-collecting hobby.

"End Sector" is described as a Card Battle RPG. The story: As the player of this game, you suddenly got transported to a mystical place called End Sector. Here, the player must battle against others using cards. There are over 500 different cards in this game, divided into four types - "Monster", "Magic", "Item" and "Formation". By combining these cards, you can summon powerful monsters to defeat your opponents with. The battles will require a lot of strategic planning. They take place in real-time, so you must act as quickly as possible. Summoning monsters and casting magics take time - the more powerful the spell, the more time it takes. Timing is very important. When you win a battle, you will gain experience points, money and new cards.

In the Story Mode, the player can make many different choices, which will lead to different endings. There will be beautiful music tracks playing in the background when the story is being told. You can expect some high-quality FMVs as well. A Gallery Mode will be included, which will allow you to view your cards anytime you want. The cards are beautifully illustrated, especially the rare ones. Can you manage to find all 500 cards?

As you can see, this isn't your typical PlayStation game. I bet it won't be released outside Japan, so you'll have to get it on import. You must know Japanese and have some interest in collecting cards. I guess "End Sector" is a really hardcore game.
