ENIGMA

"Enigma" plays kinda like Resident Evil. It uses gorgeous pre-rendered CG images as backgrounds, while the characters are rendered real-time in polygons, fully textured and gouraud-shaded. There are 3 main characters for you to choose from. First, you got Akira, a master of Ju Jitsu techniques. He's 21 years old. His grandfather was a ninja who developed his own style of Ju Jitsu, which has been passed on to Akira. Akira's father is a biologist. He's been missing for 8 years. Akira hopes now to find his father. The second character is Thomas. He's from a wealthy family, but the relationships between the family members seem complicated. Thomas uses a survival knife as his weapon. The third character is Catherine. She's of noble birth. She was brought up strictly by her father. She is well-trained in fencing and other sports. Now she's on a mission from her father to seek for some mystical stones. Her weapon is a stick.

The player can execute various combos by combining the attack buttons. Akira has, for instance, a combo where he launches a series of punches and kicks to his opponent and finishes him off with a Dragon-Punch-like uppercut. There are also special items to be collected, like guns which make battles a whole lot easier. And then, there are those mystical stones. These can be used as smart bombs, causing major damage to all the enemies around you.
