| "Sol Divide" is a very popular arcade
game by Psikyo, and thanks to Atlus, a PlayStation version will be out soon! "Sol
Divide" is basically a side-scrolling action game (I think it looks kinda similar to
Actraiser 2 on SNES). Your character has 3 kinds of attacks: slash, aerial weapons and
magic. Slash-attacks with your sword is rapid and powerful, but the range is short. Aerial
weapons do little damage, but has long range. It is up to you to choose the right attack
at the right time. There are various magic spells - like the "Wind" spell. When
it's cast, all the enemies' aerial weapons will become useless. And if you cast the
"Freeze" spell, you'll summon a ice fairy which can freeze the enemies for a
short time. The players can select between 3 characters - Worg, a powerful black knight; Tiora, a skillful sorceress; Cashuon, the winged warrior. Worg has the most powerful slash-attacks, using his evil sword Heiros. But Cashuon, who uses a spear, has the longest attack range and the highest speed. Tiora is weak with close-range attacks, but her spells are very powerful. The good news is that the game supports 2 players! Also, the PlayStation conversion will feature a new Story Mode in addition to the Arcade Mode.
