When defining favorite mode, you may use two special selections: Increase and Decrease desktop size (screen resolution), color depth or refresh rate. These selections mean that favorite mode will increase or decrease appropriate values. For example if your current display mode is 800x600, 256 colors, then selecting Decrease desktop size will set the current mode 640x480, 256 colors, and if the current mode is 800x600, High color then it will be changed to 640x480, High color.
