        Resizing an image

Resizing an image with ViewNResize is very easy. All you have to do is to resize the program window using the bottom right handle () until the image is the size you want it to be.

You can also use the menu "View" and click on one of the preset sizes.

If you want to make an image bigger than it is, make sure the menu entry "View - Fit only bigger images" is not checked.

        Rotating an image

You rotate an image using the "Tools - Rotate" menu entry or the toolbar buttons ( ).

When you rotate an image, your original picture is renamed in a ".orig" file in the same folder than your original picture. DO NOT delete this file if you want to be able to restore your original file later.

To restore a rotated image, use the "Tools - Restore original" menu entry or the toolbar button .

A rotated picture is of a slightly less good quality than the original one.

        The picture basket

To put a picture in the basket you can either use the "Basket - Add this picture to the basket" menu entry, the mouse middle click or the 'B' key. Once a picture is in the basket, a '*' follows its name in the title bar.

To view the picture basket, click on the "Bakset - Show the basket" menu entry or click on the toolbar button

When in the picture basket, to view one of its picture, just click on its name. To check the checkbox in front of a picture name, double click on the name or the checkbox.

If you want to remove pictures from the basket, check their checkboxes and click on the 'Remove selected images' button.

        Sending images by email

To send images by email, you must configure ViewNResize using the "Tools - Preferences - Mail settings" menu entry.

If you don't know what your SMTP server is, you need to ask your internet service provider. Prior to doing that, have a look in your papers, it must be written there somewhere.

Once this is done, if you just want to send the current image, simply click on the toolbar button , write the email address of the person you want to send it to in the "To:" field and click on the "Send email" button.

If you want to send multiple images, you need to use the picture basket.

Once all the pictures you want to send are in the basket, click on the "Basket - Send content by email" menu entry. You can also do that from the picture basket. Then, you still have the option to uncheck the pictures you don't really want to send by double-clicking on their names.
