Buzz Specifications
GENERAL OVERVIEW
  • Step sequencer (pattern editing w/ realtime recording of parameter changes).
  • Basic elements are Generators (produce sound) and Effects (modifies audio signals, such as DSP).
  • Generator types: subtractive synthesis/sampling/physical modelling/FM/Additive is all currently possible under one interface (i.e. Buzz).
  • DSP effects include chorus, flange, reverb, EQ, tremolo, distortion, saturation, analog delays, vocoding, filters and practically anything else imaginable.
  • Each generator has limited polyphony (anywhere from 1 to 32 tracks may be used), yet multiple generators produce unlimited polyphony.
  • Effects may be mono -> mono or mono -> stereo and stereo -> stereo. Not all effects support stereo input, in that case left and right channels of a stereo input may be seperately linked to two mono effects.
  • Complete Modular soft-studio interface allows generators to be linked to any number of effects, while effects may be chained to other effects and so on.
CUSTOMIZATION
  • Supports Color Themes (Includes many, more available on BuzzTrack.com)
  • Allows Saving Presets (Patches) for any Generator
  • Allows users to organize machines (indexing) as well as hide and rename them.
MIXING SPECIFICATIONS
  • Internal operations are done with 32-bit precision floating point numbers.
  • 44100 hz CD quality sampling rate (Samples may be oversampled to 196Khz).
  • Each signal chain may be panned and volume adjusted seperately to allow full mixing inside buzz.
  • Hard disk recorder option is available for recording songs or individual tracks to .wav for external mastering, converting to mp3, or other use you might have.
FILE TYPE SUPPORT
  • Standard Windows .WAV files may be read into the wavetable (supports stereo, mono, 16/8 bits, and any sampling rate through 196Khz). Be sure to select the suitable machines to handle the samples.
  • Loads XI (Fast Tracker Instrument) files, with multi-samples & loop points.
  • VST DSP Plugins may be read through the Rout VST Plugin loader
  • Sound Fonts through the Rout Sound Font Loader.
