Using The Hard Disk Recorder

To use the Buzz HD Recorder follow these steps:

  1. Select Hard Disk Recorder from the View menu.
  2. Click Save As...., on the HD Recorder window and indicate a location on your drive to save the file.
  3. Press the Rec button on the HD Recorder window. Buzz will begin recording immediately, even if the song is stopped.
  4. Use Buzz as you regularly would, tweaking knobs, adding notes, etc. It will all be streamed directly to file as you work.
  5. Click stop when you're finished, or if auto stop/start is enabled it will stop recording when the end of the loop or song is reached, and looping is disabled.

Regularly, you might simply want to use the harddisk recorder to write a complete song to your hard disk in .wav format, for example in order to convert the .wav file to an mp3 later on. The most convienient way to do that is:

After you followed step one and two of the scheme above, you simply

enable the auto stop/start option,

disable looping in the upper toolbar, and

play the song from the beginning, for example by pressing F6 with the cursor positioned at the beginning of your song in the sequence editor.

Important Note: Every time you click Rec on the HD Recorder window, Buzz will begin recording again overwriting the current file.
