President and Chief Executive Officer

Dan Avida has served as President, chief operating officer and member of the board since October 1994. Mr. Avida served as Vice President of research and development from July 1993 to October 1994, prior to which he had been vice president of hardware systems. Mr. Avida has been with EFI since 1989, serving as an engineer, project manager and director of hardware systems. Prior to joining EFI, Mr. Avida served in the Israeli Defense Forces as a project manager and as a section leader responsible for the development of high technology projects. Mr. Avida holds a B.A. in computer engineering from Technion, Israel's Institute of Technology.

Founder and Chairman of the Board

Efi Arazi is the founder of EFI, Inc. and has served as chairman of the board and chief executive officer since the company commenced operations in 1989.
Mr. Arazi served as President from 1988 until July 1991 and from July 1992 to October 1994. In 1968, Mr. Arazi founded Scitex Corporation, where he was chief executive officer until 1988. Mr. Arazi holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Executive Vice President

Jeffrey Lenches has served as executive Vice President since October 1994. Mr. Lenches served as Vice President of sales from August 1993 to October 1994. Prior to that, Mr. Lenches served as EFI's Vice President of Fiery Sales. Before joining EFI, he served as Western regional sales manager and national VAR and OEM sales manager at Tektronix, Inc. Prior to joining Tektronix, Mr. Lenches served as a marketing representative for IBM Corp. Mr. Lenches holds a B.B.A. from the Ohio University and an MBA from Pepperdine University.

Vice President, Manufacturing and Support

Fred Rosenzweig has served as Vice President, Manufacturing and Support since January 1995. Mr. Rosenzweig was director of manufacturing from May 1993 to January 1995. Prior to joining EFI, Mr. Rosenzweig was plant general manager at Tandem Computers. Mr. Rosenzweig holds a B.S. in engineering from Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley.

Vice President, Strategic Relations

Eric Saltzman has served as vice president, strategic relations and general counsel since October, 1995. Saltzman served as director of commercial affairs and general counsel from January, 1994 to October, 1995. Before joining EFI, Saltzman was a senior corporate associate at Cooley Godward Castro Huddleson & Tatum. Prior to that, Saltzman was a corporate associate at Stradling, Yocca, Carlson & Rauth. Saltzman holds a B.A. from Swarthmore College and a J.D. from Stanford Law School.

Vice President, Human Resources

Jan Smith has served as vice president, human resources since October, 1995. Smith was director of human resources from 1993 to October, 1995. Before joining EFI, Smith held management positions in human resources at FMC Corporation. Smith holds a B.A. from Bradley University and an M.A. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Vice President, European Sales

Cees Boshuizen has served as Vice President of European Sales since September 1996. Mr. Boshuizen joined EFI from Sybase, where he was the Vice President of the Central European region. Prior to that, Mr. Boshuizen worked for eight years at Apollo/HP as Director of Finance & Operations for Europe and the Far East. Mr. Boshuizen started his career in 1973 with Digital, where he spent 11 years in different management positions in finance, manufacturing and operations.

Vice President, Sales Office & Production Systems

Joann Shields has served as Vice President of Sales, Office and Production Systems since January 1997. Ms. Shields has been with EFI since December 1991 serving as Director of Sales and prior to that as Manager of Product Marketing. Before joining EFI, Ms. Shields held sales and marketing management positions with Canon USA, National Digital Corporation and Deloitte Haskins & Sells. Ms. Shields holds a BS from Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from George Washington University.

Vice President of Sales, Office and Embedded Systems

Mark Lee has served as Vice President of Sales, Office and Embedded Systems since January 1997. Mr. Lee was the Director of Worldwide Sales, Ricoh & Minolta from October 1995 to January 1997, having been hired at EFI in October 1994 as an OEM Sales Manager. Before joining EFI, Mr. Lee was the Director of Sales at Pacific Data Products. Mr. Lee holds a B.A. in Economics from Claremont-McKenna College and a B.S. and M.S. in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University.
