PRODUCT ASSURANCE ENGINEER

We are seeking a candidate to define, document, and perform product evaluations (assuring quality, reliability, design compliance) and develop specifications and testing processes for qualifying products (vibration, humidity, altitude, temperature, shipping). You will conduct and document calculated reliability measurements, develop and implement on-going reliability testing, and implement accelerated life testing on new product designs. You will conduct margin analysis on new product designs during design and qualification stages, report test results to engineering, review floor and field failures, identify failure trends, perform root cause failure analysis and implement design changes. Requires a BS in a technical field (preferably EE) or equivalent, 7+ years experience in quality/reliability/product design qualification. Demonstrated abilities in product reliability and environmental and qualification testing is also needed.

The ideal candidate must be able to provide an interface between EFI and its sub-contractors on product and procurement quality issues. He/she will also insure implementations of ICT and functional test processes and changes. You'll also develop test equipment and fixtures and initiate improvement programs at EFI's sub-contractors. In addition, you will implement and coordinate supplier based qualification and corrective action programs. A minimum of 3 years experience in supplier quality assurance in either computer, telecommunications, or peripheral industries is required. Experience with a variety of manufacturing product and processes including systems integration and PWB assembly is a must. Experience in components and SMT a plus. BSEE required ME preferred.
