he Fiery XJ+ Color Server incorporates EFI technology that transforms
digital color copiers into fast, high-quality networked color printers.
It enables you to send color files from your networked desktop and subsequently
to print color documents directly through a color copier, thus turning the
copier into a short-run on-demand color printer.
It also allows photographs and images to be scanned on the copier, manipulated at your desktop, then printed back via the copier that scanned them.
Using the Fiery XJ+ Color Server is as simple as using any networked color printer. With a click on the mouse, color images can be printed within seconds.
Of course, these basic principles have now been developed and refined. The Fiery XJ+ Color Server offers fast color output for high quality printing, a full range of connectivity options including AppleTalk, TCP/IP, Novell IPX plus advanced user utilities such as scanning, spooling and remote queue management.
Naturally, it is of vital importance that the color viewed on screen is faithfully replicated on the paper output. The Fiery XJ+ Color Server has a unique built-in color management system affording the user total control and allowing the accurate translation of color from screen to document, offering the user higher levels of performance without raising the cost.
The same Fiery technology from Electronics for Imaging that powers the XJ+ Color Server line is also available as the XJe embedded controller. The XJe is embedded in desktop color laser printers from Canon, Digital and IBM as well as in the revolutionary new Ricoh Aficio 2000 series digital color copiers.
