You can use Y-wires to make multiple connections.  Here, the Y-wires let you connect the batteries in parallel.  When batteries are connected in parallel, electricity flows from the same end of each battery, through the light bulb and the switch, to the other end of each battery.  The switch turns the bulb on and off.
