Other areas of work include Planning appeals, project management, advice on building contracts and other legal and technical matters concerning buildings.
John Sharples (Bsc, Pgdip. ACIOB. TechRICS.) is a Building Surveyor with over 20 years experience in construction. Experience is based on a practical background having been apprenticed as a Joiner, before running a small Joinery & Building Company in the 1980s. John then successfully studied for a Degree in Construction Management and a Post Graduate Diploma in Law.
John has a good understanding of traditional materials and construction methods used on refurbishment of traditional buildings, as well as an excellent understanding of more up to date building materials and construction methods.
You may have seen some of Johns designs featured in Homebuilding & Renovating magazine over the years. The practice is based in Leeds and has clients across the North of England, and each year has a stand at the Northern Homebuilding & Renovating exhibition in Harrogate.
