Objectives

• Information and data-distribution system focused on Hawaii
• Real-time GMS & AVHRR imagery for daily TV weather show
• High-resolution imagery of Hawaii for tourists, residents and students (K-12 and community colleges)
• Space Shuttle photography
• imaging radar data collected by the SIR-C/X-SAR experiments
• NASA aircraft data (visible, thermal and microwave)
• Aircraft data provided by a private-sector partner (TerraSystems, Inc.)
• Local access for land assessment and natural disaster response
• Internet access to enhance Hawaii as a potential tourist destination
