Objective
To enhance existing science curriculum by delivering instructional materials
to K-12 students via WWW.
Approach
A three year project that enhances existing science curriculum by delivering
instructional materials to K-12 students via WWW. Students use real data
sets gathered from the Internet with materials written by a teem of educators
and scientists.
Accomplishments
Over 39 activities with supporting content and related links.
Twenty teachers in 4 Washington state school districts piloted Athena during
the 1995-1996 school year; training has begun for 1996-1997.
Accessed from sites nationally and internationally.
