Objective
Interest students in technical careers and develop student ability in math
and science using aeronautics applications on the World Wide Web.
Approach
SHAPE provides educators with interactive "aeroevents" delivered
on the WWW that motivate students to learn math and science at each of the
decision points in the event.
Significance
This project uses a hands-on interactive approach to involves students in
an instructional aviation experience.

| Accomplishments
- Developed and implemented a model for using the WWW interactively.
- Developed a Glider aeroevent Teacher Tutorial to give teachers basic
aeronautical background and to assist teachers with integration of basic
aeronautics, math and science.
- Collaborated with more than 100 educators who are involved with the
NASA DFRC's Internet Training Workshops during the summer.
Plans
- Complete F-15 ACTIVE aeroevent Teacher Tutorial.
- This agreement ends in Fiscal Year 1998.
