The HTML CD for Windows contains a cornucopia of tools to help you in your authoring efforts. It includes:

HTML Editors

HoTMetaL from SoftQuad: A full-featured HTML editor and verifier.
HTML Assistant by Howard Harawitz.: An HTML editor.
Internet Assistant from Microsoft: This is an add-on to Microsoft Word that turns it into an HTML browser and editor.

WHTTP by Robert Denny. Take control - run your own Web server.

Graphics Manipulation

LViewPro 1b by Leonardo Loureiro. Add transparent backgrounds to your GIFs, interlacing, and much, much more!

Image Map Creation

Mapedit by Thomas Boutell. Create imagemaps quickly and easily.

RTF to HTML converter

RTFTOHTM by Chris Hector. Translate your documents from RTF to HTML.

All of these applications are easily installed from the CD Launcher. Just as the HTML index document is intended to guide you through the HTML documents on CD, the CD Launcher will guide you through the installation of the applications included on the CD.
