SOFTWARE LICENSE

Background

This package, "Windows httpd" was developed by Robert B. Denny. Portions of the source code, documentation, examples, and supporting files were developed by The National Center for Supercomputing Applications, at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. ("NCSA"), placed into the public domain by NCSA, and subsequently modified and used by Robert Denny.

Definitions

Software
refers to the binary executable form of the program "Windows httpd" that provides services according the the Hypertext Transfer Protocol, and all supporting programs.
Package
refers to the collection of files distributed by the Copyright Holder, and derivatives of that collection of files created through textual modification. Source code is specifically not included in the Package.
Standard Version
refers to a Package that has not been modified, or has been modified in accordance with the wishes of the Copyright Holder.
Commercial Use
refers to use of the Software resulting in direct compensation or use in connection with any business activity.

License Grants

I, Robert B. Denny, (the "Author") hereby grant you a license (the "License") to use the Software in accordance with the terms of this License. The copyright and all other rights in the Software shall remain with me.

YOU MAY

  1. use the Software for your non-commercial personal purposes or in connection with providing educational services (commercial training and consulting shall not be considered "educational" use for the purposes of this License);
  2. place the Software into Commercial Use for an evaluation period of up to 30 days (thereafter you must purchase a Commercial Use License); and
  3. make and give away verbatim copies of the Standard Version of this Package without restriction, provided that you include the Copyright Notice, this License and the the Liability Disclaimer.

YOU MAY NOT

  1. use the Software or make copies of the Package except as permitted in this License;
