Abstract: Java is moving at incredible speed. Since its introduction at SunWorld in May of 1995, Java has been embraced by over 200,000 developers, and thousands of applets and more than 500 Java software products are now entering the marketplace. Both large and small companies are rapidly adopting Java for a strategic advantage. This session will review the past year and look ahead toward what is to come, highlighting the effect the new 100% Pure Java Initiative will have on application development.
