     5   Q.   It is 5.3.  It is the second page of the report -- it
              should be -- no, it is not.

         MR. JUSTICE BELL:  It is well towards the back of that section.

         MR. MORRIS:  I apologise for that.  862, 5.3:  "Also there was
     8        no director recognised as having legal responsibility for
              health and safety and this topic was not routinely on the
     9        agenda at board or executive management meetings."
              A.  OK.

         Q.   Has that now been changed?  There is a director?
         A.  I told you that Andrew Taylor is the officer who
              oversees human resources.  I would argue it was, in fact,
    12        ever a true statement.
 
    13   Q.   So you disagree with that statement in the report?
              A.  I disagree that there was never an officer of the
    14        company responsible for health and safety as the head of
              McDonald's. Ultimately, everything falls at my feet.  I am
    15        responsible for the whole thing.
 
    16   Q.   Yes, but is it not true they would recommend you have a
              specific person for health and safety?
    17        A.  There is Andrew Taylor.
 
    18   Q.   That is his own job, health and safety?
              A.  No.  He has a vast and encompassing job.  This is
    19        something he oversees as part of a process where
              everyone's job in McDonald's concerns health safety of our
    20        employees and of our customers.  It is not a one person
              function in any way, shape or form.

         Q.   So you disagree with the recommendation?
    22        A.  I disagree that we never had someone responsible for
              the function.  I do not disagree there ought to be a
    23        specific officer involved, but I disagree that that was
              never the case.

         MR. JUSTICE BELL:  That was a conclusion.  The recommendation 
    26        is at 5.11.4 on page 864.

    28   MR. JUSTICE BELL:  It starts with "Conclusions" on page 864; it
              gets to "Recommendations", then on the following page
    29        there is an item 4.
