Day 163 - 25 Sep 95 - Page 31

Plaintiffs wanted to have checked out what I put to -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Do you know who actually runs the service
which has all these on computer? What body is it which
       does that?

MR. MORRIS: I mean, we could find out. I do not know how it
works, but I know that it is an available service and
I could probably do it even from London, if I was computer
       literate.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes, but what I am interested in, who
actually runs it? I mean, is it a government service or is
it a large union in the United States which has an interest
in employment law and any violations, or what?

MR. MORRIS: I do not think it will be the second, I do not
know, but I am pretty certain it is a typical media
service, research or reference service, a general one,
which people can get information out just as if it was a
library. It is basically a computer library of the press
       information.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: What loose ends have you on this part?

MR. MORRIS: There was just one or two.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: One of the paragraphs you said was not based
on the printout but was based on a newspaper cutting.

MR. MORRIS: Yes, I am sorry about that. That was point No. 9.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: That was point No. 9 under Store Hygiene.

MR. MORRIS: Yes, that one, I will have to do it tonight. The
only other matter I think that is outstanding is the 1,000
labour investigators. I am sure it is in the documents
I have in front of me. I just need to have a couple of
       minutes to look through them.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: If you are going to look through, I was going
to have our five-minute break at about 3 o'clock since we
started at quarter to two, so we will have it now. I would
like you to spend the five minutes finding your place.

  MR. MORRIS: Yes.

                      (Short Adjournment)

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Which was the one you were looking for?

MR. MORRIS: I was looking for -- I still have not found it yet
-- particular 4 on Employment Conditions. It is the first
sentence really. I will find it but maybe if I cannot find
it we can drop it for the moment or leave it pending
finding the reference, but I will certainly find it. Maybe
       if Mr. Rampton can -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: So subject to finding that and getting the
photocopy of the press report, that deals with your Store
