Day 170 - 05 Oct 95 - Page 04

Mr. Rampton said, I suggest you leave them on one side
because if you do ask her and she gives that answer, then I
will have to say: "Well, that is as far as we can go" ---

  MR. MORRIS: Right.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: -- because I do not want her saying what she
       has heard from someone else.

The other side of the matter is that if you think that with
a bit of further enquiry, Miss O'Riordon or anyone else,
you may get hold of some admissible evidence which helps
you in some respect, whether with a view to proving a
specific accident which we have not yet heard of or not,
then in line with what I was saying the other day, get your
details of it as soon as possible and give notice to the
other side of it as soon as possible.

MR. MORRIS: I think Miss O'Riordon is going to write down all
the notes that she can remember, and then there is no
       problem.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: If we really concentrate on what happened
with Miss O'Riordon today, and anything you want to ask
about hustle, we should finish in good time and you can sit
down with Miss O'Riordon and get your extra information
       then.

MR. MORRIS: Yes. We have actually booked a meeting this
afternoon for legal advice, so we have no intention of
going on for a long time.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I would urge you to take as much advantage as
you can of Miss O'Riordon's presence, if she is here
       today.

MR. MORRIS: Can I just say, I have a couple of things to
serve. I will wait until we have finished the evidence on
       this.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Are they in relation to the evidence?

MR. MORRIS: No, they are not in relation to the evidence.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Let us hear Mrs. Norris then.

                    ANNETTE VIANIE NORRIS, sworn
                      Examined by Mr. Atkinson

  Q. Mrs. Norris, you have given your name as Annette Vianie
Hall -- you are now Norris, are you not?
       A. Yes.

  Q. You give your address as the McDonald's Headquarters in
       East Finchley; is that right?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Just tell us exactly what your position is now with the
       Company?
       A. I am a General Manager.
