Day 246 - 09 May 96 - Page 02
Thursday, 9th May, 1996

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Would you like to come back to the witness
box, please, Mr. Preston?

MS. STEEL: Yes. Briefly, I have to attend a funeral next
Thursday, and so, if it is OK with the court, we are trying
to reschedule Miss Bramford for another day next week,
either the Tuesday or the Friday.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: See if you can put her in on either of those
two days and tell me more about it when you have made some
arrangements.

MS. STEEL: Thank you.

MR. MORRIS: Just one documentation question: there were some
further documents which were part of the supplementary
bundle, which I do not believe you have had and which you
now should have. They were the miscellaneous documents.
They should be at the front of the new file of the
supplemental bundle.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I have those.

MR. MORRIS: They are also in the witness file as well now. We
have put them at the front. Mrs. Brinley-Codd recommended
to put them at the front, that is why. The rest relate to
the counterclaim.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Very well. Yes. Would you go back to the
witness box, please, Mr. Preston?

Paul Preston, Recalled:
Cross-examined by the Defendants, Continued:

MS. STEEL: Yes. I want to ask about some of the new
counterclaim documents; I do not know where they. Are they
in counterclaim volume 1, tab A at the front; is that
right, the new ones?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Which are the ones ----

MS. STEEL: They were served on 19th April, recently, by the
Plaintiffs. It is the Plaintiffs' counterclaim bundle, not
ours.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Mr. Riley, can you help, please? It is on
the left, Mr. Preston. It is white with a pink border, and
it has "CC1". Just under your chin, that is right.

MS. STEEL: I think it should be at the front with the stamped
numbers 1 and 2.
A. Are these to go in here at the very front?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: You have just been... I do not know,
Mr. Preston has been handed something and he has not been
told what to do with it, or anything. He has been used as
an usher. What has he been given, and what is the witness
to do with it?
