     4        "Further to my statement of 15.7.1993, I wish to add the
     5        following:

     7        1.  I myself was present at the interviews made for
     8        Jungleburger with Sergio Quintana, Quiros Guardia, Alberta
     9        Zamora, Hugo Ribera and Carlos Barios.

    11        2.  I have the original uncut recordings of the above
    12        interviews and I am prepared to bring them to the UK
    13        Court.
    14        3. I have sent the transcripts of these interviews to the
    15        defendants and can say they are a true record from the
    16        tapes.

    23        sensible one to read next, I do not actually have a copy.

    26        pause a moment.

    29        your Lordship will be reading it.  We have no objection to
    30        anything in the statement.  Mrs. Brinley-Codd says there is
    31        one behind the witness box.

    34        problem.  Mr. Riley, can you get pale blue 1C please.  What
    35        is in the bundle is, in fact, the statement profile of this
    36        tree savanna biome, but I also have what really amounts to
    37        a C.V. of Dr. Ratter.  What I suggest is that you take the
    38        C.V. as read.

    50        in front of me.  Can we note that Dr. James Ratter seems to
    51        be an extremely experienced and eminent person in the
    52        field.

    54   MR. JUSTICE BELL:  What he says, it is James Alexander Ratter.
    55        He has a bachelor of science, an honours degree, bachelor
    56        of science in botany, doctor of philosophy in botany and
    57        his present position is senior principal scientific
    58        officer, head of the tropical section of the Royal
    59        Botanical Gardens in Edinburgh, if I understand RBG
    60        properly.  And he starts his professional experience by
