    10        I have done is attempted to identify the band or swathe of
    11        tropical rainforest in the Cotter map.  I do not know the
    12        reference for the Cotter map.  It should be in our
    13        Civil Evidence Act notices.  I am sorry, I do not know what
    14        volume.

    26        Cesca map, superimposed on the Cesca map, what Dr. Cotter
    27        has identified based upon his work with Jim Nations, Dr.
    28        Nations and verified in the statement before us.  The areas
    29        of tropical rainforest, what he calls Nearctic tropical
    30        rainforests, which have been deforested since 1940, that is
    31        the dark blue.  I mean the shaded-in blue.  And the dotted
    32        blue area is the area which he says was surviving
    33        rainforest in 1982.

    38        they get their supplies from, it is obvious that the solid
    39        block of identifiable rainforest deforested since 1940
    40        includes substantial areas that are now cattle ranching for
         McDonald's.
