What indeed is work?

Yes. Not only manual labor is considered work. People in an insurance office are working (usually for someone else) as are cashiers and many other vocations not usually associated with breaking a sweat.

However, reading the financial pages to see how much the labor of others has earned you today is NOT work, in my opinion. And we were talking about degrees of work. Under the current system, he who works hardest earns the least, and he who works the least earns the most. Do you think this is fair?
