About the machiner you are quite right- but there are still many labour intensive industries in the world- and even in high tech plants like buiilding intergrated ciruits and what have you, tehre are still labourers, ahving to do the work. You still need someone to run the machines. labour saving devices don't save labour, just labourers- and this means that eventually we have more surplus population consuming wealth than producing it...

Socialism will abolish government- there will be no government under socialism, a socialist state is an oxymoron- there will be no government under socialism....
A centralised state is not the definition of socialism- common ownership is- the difference is crucial. Leninists and stalinists changed the emaning to suite their theories- but the point is that the people hold the means of production for themselves, rather than a minority class, be it the bourgeoisie or the state nomenklature. Read your Marx...

If you don't go back to school, pick a issue of 'Newsweek' or the business section of the daily paper and see for yourself the shitty conditions the people of socialist countries are in! As for your silly response to the privious person's quesition, I have a quesition for you. If socialism takes away the money people have earned and gives it the less deserving, who really are the thieves?
1: Capitalism takes the money from the workers, and gives it to the
