Socialism is just that, giving up what is rightfully yours. Want to throw off the parasites? Great, lets start with Welfare and all of the other social(ist) programs that we are forced to contribute to. I would love to take back all that I've put in the system. All of the ridiculus taxes I pay just so someone who won't get a job can buy beer, I want my money back. (Don't flame me for saying that. I'm not saying that all or even most Welfare recipiants are like that.) 1. The point is not that socialism is giving up what is rightfully ours, but taking back for the whole of society (To which it rightfully belongs) that which has been appropriated by a small section (About 10%)- the means of production.
2.Even if taxes were cut you would not recieve more money- effectively it is you employer that pays the tax- not you. You are paid (In real terms, after tax) the amount of money necessary to maintain you in your function. Say you earned ú100, of which you pay ú25 tax. Thus you take home ú75. That ú75 is your real wage- if taxes went down, then your employer would hold down your wage at your market value, and make more profits for not having to pay a tax on you. Even if the tax was ú10 then you would still stay at you market rate (After a while that is, it would seem a benefit in the short term). You will never be paid more than your labour market value as a commodity, and effectively it is you employer that pays the tax- that's why capitalists are so fond of lowering the tax rate- it'll boost their profits.
3.If this money wasn't spent then the poverty that is caused by free market ethos capitalism would run rampant, and american society would begin to disintergate, dear.
4.If you want to keep the produce of your labour, rather than give it to someone you feel is undeserving, vote for socialism, and get rid of the undeserving parasites that run the world now.
