You guys need to get out more....and perhaps read a history book now and again...it must be frustrating to have so much energy and such a need to go out and have yourself listened to, particularily when your facts and opinions are based on a cynical populist platform....sad..to bad you could not try to understand before you go on a rant..If you understood a little about history, you would understand why the united states took a leadership position after world war two...in many ways it had not choice....this is not to discount some of your cynical responses...but look up something called the marshall plan....read a book and take a look...I wonder if any of you who respond to this site even have worked in a job, or are you merely students filled with piss and vinegar who think that they have an understanding of the world because they have had the privelege of taking some time off from it....You take for granted the freedom and the responsibilites that you have enjoyed and continue to enjoy...the US and its foreign policy has not always been good...but do you have any idea of some of the terror that is taking place right now in algeria, bosnia, based on religious fundamentalism...in a world where you are forced to take an opinion and be silenced or be executed? Get with the program man, this is not only a fight for influence and power....in many ways it is about liberating...
I would hope that you would be able to provide objective outlook on the world based on understanding of political context and history instead of merely spouting off on one of two topics you know little about...
educate yourself.
