: communism is going to rise again one day. this is based on workers having to work harder for a larger slice of the cake these days. someone is going to rise in a bloody revolution. fuck capitalism - it exploits the masses.

heady thoughts - communism on the rise again some day? well a few things come to mind, like the fact that to those that believe that the Reds _were_ there, communism is actually on the wain still and to those that believe that the Reds were a false dawn (ie there never really was or is an effective and genuine communist system in operation) then it cannot rise again.

Either way - the world has now discarded with communism, in the same way that our 'democracies' have discarded with the term 'propaganda'. This was during the first half of our century an oft used term from our own governments of their own information, policies etc ... it was only in the latter half of this century that it has become unfashionable to use the term.

Likewise communism will not in my or your lifetime become a prevalent expression for a better world - there are too many connotations, too many incured reactions based on emotion, fear, ignorance and ... propaganda for this to happen.

This is more than just 'buzz words' - and fashionable terminology, it's to do with modernising the theory, also there will always be reactionary forces against 'communism et al' and rather than let them get away with political rhetoric, points scoring and general sniping the idea must navigate this.
