: It's the same thing for all technological advances. It's the ordinary worker, scientist or engineer who invents things and comes up with the ideas. The capitalists couldn't do this for themselves and they never have (they need to employ workers!) All they do is make the money off what the worker creates. After all, that's why they are called "capitalists", and not "workers"

Are you telling me that without capitalists (Gates, Jobs, et al) workers would have gotten together and built PCs for the hell of it? Then they would have given them away for free? Come on. At some point the workers would have decided to only manufacture products for themselves, or sell them to people. At the point they begin selling, they become capitalists.
