Sheesh! Anybody get a word count?I think an editor would have reduced the response to two words: "Fluent Crap". Is that a reference to a specific "mode" of crapping, or more of a similar reference as "fluent in French"? (This is humor)
However, it seems that both posters have a passionate belief of their respective opinions, but I'm having trouble with either advocate saying their system of choice is the better one. It may be better for you, but maybe not for me. Freedom of choice includes the freedom to choose what you believe, along with choosing an economic system.
I would not villify a person for choosing a system that I do not, nor would I try to convert anyone. But, I would not emigrate to Cuba or N. Korea either.
I am a "believer" in Capitalism. However, it is rhetoric like the base post that makes me cringe in the shadows, feeling a bit guilty that "my side" is represented by such "fluent crap".
As far as altruism goes, I recall a very wealthy philanthropist, by the name of Dr. Armand Hammer, who gained his wealth under capitalism, yet strove for world peace and an end to the Cold War. He is the only Westerner to be invited into Stalin's office in the Kremlin. Pretty neat invite, even Russians are not allowed in the office. He puts a different face on Capitalism, much nicer than the original post.
