: I would gladly give up everything that capitalism has and supposedly has given me (SHOCK) if it would get rid of idiots put in power who get to play God with the millions of people they keep poor. Captalisms ends DO NOT justify the means. The Cold War was not worth having just so technological advances could be made. Look around you. Are things that good under capitalism??? Sure we have alot of amusing trinkets, shiny things and loud scary noises but it's something we could survive without.Amen to that! Yes, the minority of us who actually DO get the privilege of having a high standard of living (food, water, clothing, heat, AND shiny trinkets!!!) could do without the extras (media extraordinaire!). But even if we decided that we all needed a high standard of living, with all the basics PLUS the fun toys, under socialism, this could be possible.
Think about how many of us are unemployed all over the world. If everyone worked (even just a few hours a day, if THAT) think about all the goods we could have!!! And this is under SOCIALISM, may I remind you. Thank you, Comrades.
