: Who cares? Why become an anarchist you will never change anything?

: To even become effective in causing changes in society, you would have to have at the very least a major part of the population backing you, and with these ideas that will never happen. In all major revolutions in history, good or bad, a majority of the population wanted them to come about, but in america even with all its problems most are content. People complaining to the government is good because it lets them know that there are problems, but the reality is that america is still one of the better places to live in this world.

: The most anyone can hope for is small changes because as long as the present form works it will be around. Lets face it there will never be a perfect government or a utopian society.

Ok first of all can we please decline from using the 'it'll never happen anyway' arguement? That is a major insult to the human Will, and it is no real excuse for anything. That's like saying, "Well, I'll never know everything, so why try to learn anything at all?" I think that all of us should strive to be the very best that we can be, merely because it brings us satisfaction. I for one know that I could never sit idly by and watch injustice do its best--simply because 'it'll never happen anyway'. We all know that the world will never be PERFECT but that is no excuse not to try and cure that which we can. If any of us heals or prevents even ONE minor wound against human kind, does that not make it all worth it???

Now to the second part of your message: you said that 'most Americans are content'. Ummm...just how many Americans have you met? Are you talking about the Internet coommunity or what? Are you not aware that the majority of Americans live in impoverished conditions? You go walking down in any American ghetto or slum area, and you ask someone living THERE if he/she is 'content'. Please, Comrades, we really have to stop focusing on ourselves and start looking at our brothers and sisters who are NOT sleeping in the adjacent room. You think because you can't see the starving children that they DON'T EXIST??? Please, let's open up our eyes just a little bit more. All of us can do better than THIS. thank you.
