I have to agree with you. It is very hard to defend ourselves when some of the most defensive and assaultive comments come from employees
themselves.
Although the adage is "The Customer Is Always Right", I do have to disagree. They are not always right and sometimes they make the job
incredibly difficult whatever the service industry, not just food service. (I worked as an E.R. nurse for more than nine years and if you ever wanted to know about a field in which people felt they had
the right to abuse you, this is it).
However, be that as it may, ANYONE dealing with the public has to treat
the customer like they are right whether they like it or not. If you
can't do that, then maybe the job isn't for you.
