Regulars, forgive me. I would have followed this up via mail, but she didn't give it to us...: I have just read through all your messages and I have a few things to say about them.
All of them? Even I haven't read all of them. I'd hate to see the size of your next phone bill.
: Firstly, that a lot of you are lying - most of you that say that you work for the company are not telling the truth, you just want to look as if you know what you are talking about.
Is this pro-or anti-McD's? Please give some idea as to your views on the issues.
Secondly, isn't that a bit of a sweeping accusation to be throwing around, with nary a shred of corroboration?
If you're looking for a "genuine" employee (well, ex-employee), read Siamak's posts. I think you'll find he's as anti-McD's as those of us who've never worked there.
: This is very sad, what is wrong with sticking to your own identity and airing your opinion that way instead of lying. Secondly, not many of you can actually spell or put a sentence together in the correct manner so go away and educate yourselves and then you might be able to construct a better argument.
Regrettably, it is true that the debating room does attract a fair share of k00l d00ds. On the other hand, many of the posters here speak English as a second language. I could also point out that the balance of literacy is tipped towards the anti-McD's side. Please try to see beyond the building blocks of language to the message beyond, as it is rather shallow to dismiss an otherwise worthwhile post this way.
With all due respect, your own post is not a masterpiece of construction. I could mention badly needed commas or split infinitives, missing question marks or general lack of dexterity. Spelling flames do rather lead to a semiological meltdown though, as each party tries to pick ever smaller holes in the other side's grammar. Equally, verbal facility does not necessarily lead to skill in debating. There is much more to a debate than stating and restating your opinion to an opponent doing much the same.
Please concentrate on the message, not the words.
Oh, and tell us whether you're for or against fast food, so that I know whether to hug you or toast you.
Gideon.
None.
