McDonalds is a way of life

After reading the messages here, I have found that there are definately some good points being made, and the fact that this discussion is taking place is a good sign, however, I think the big picture is being missed. I think McDonalds can be seen as a symbol for the direction our society is taking, and its not good. Speaking metaphorically, Everything is based on convienience. It's got to be quick, easy and disposable, but it really has very little nourishment.

I eat McDonalds heaps, but I don't think refraining form eating take-away food is going to save the world, but the problem is, I don't know what will either. I just wanted to point out that the problems we are facing today are much bigger than the simple aesthetics of a quater-pounder.
