STonX (ST on uniX) is a system to emulate the ST on Unix workstations, using the Xwindows operating environment. It provides a high level of compatibility and provides many speed advantages over a standard 8 Mhz ST. These pages, from co-developer Marinos 'Nino' Yannikos, contain lots on the development of STonX, including history comments and FAQs.
System Solutions, a major retailer of MagiC, have dedicated a whole section of their web site to the system. MagiC is almost a completely re-written Atari operating system, but still retains full compatibility with 'clean' GEM software programs. The system is available for the Mac and PC, turning your machine into a true GEM system. It is fully software based, and easy to setup and install.
