• Active Theatre based in Eastleigh, Hampshire. Provide a wide variety of entertainment and take part in drama competitions.
• The University of Bath Backstage Technical Services
• Bedford Amateur Dramatic Society
• Collage Theatre Company, Milton Keynes (North Buckinghamshire)

• Flat Four, a distributed amateur drama group specialising (successfully) in competitive one-act plays.
• Godalming Theatre Group, Godalming, Surrey
• Newcastle University Gilbert and Sullivan
• Pateley Bridge Dramatic Society, North Yorkshire
• Questor's Theatre. Mattock Lane, Ealing, London. Probably the largest and best organised amateur theatre group in England. Started in 1929, has its own 350 seat theatre and rehearsal spaces.
• RAFTA, the Royal Air Force Theatrical Association
• Stewartby Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society
• Tring Festival Company
• Wilmslow Guild Players
• Youth Action Theatre, Teddington, Middlesex. 0181 979 7904 (Eric Yardley). Established 1970 to promote local theatre to 16-25 year olds. Average three productions per year (normally one new work), have toured to USA and Europe.
